Tohoshinki in Music Fair (6.08.2011)
MC: And someone we waited for this night! Long time no see, isn’t it? After 2 years and 2 months, the two from Tohoshinki!
YH&CM: Good evening, we are Tohoshinki.
MC: This year’s hot, isn’t it?
YH: Yes, I think it’s gotten even hotter.
MC: Compared to last year, right?
MC: Do you like when it’s hot?
CM: Heat is my weakness. But there’s tasty food.
YH: And me, conversely, I like summer very much. My nickname’s ‘summer guy’.
CM: *keep calm*
MC: Yunho-san, since you’re a summer guy, do you have any summer anecdotes?
YH: Recently, I had some free time so I went with my friends to… a resort where you can play aquatic sports? When we were leaving, the weather was great, but when we arrived, it started raining really hard. So we couldn’t do anything.
MC: Such a pity!
YH: It was very vexing. So… we swam in the pool amidst the great rain. On the next day, I had a really important schedule, but I caught a cold.
MC: …Where are you a summer guy?! Aren’t you completely a rain man!
And does Changmin-san has some summer memories?
CM: I went to Okinawa for filming recently. Everyone from the staff told me that there’s this food that I have to try for sure. And it was, well, a cuisine from a goat’s very important part.
YH: Good for body, isn’t it?
CM: *laugh* …Is it fine if I talk about such stuff?
MC: Of course, it is!
CM: I already said it anyway… *laugh*
MC: Was it tasty?
CM: Well, it wasn’t tasty. But very good for health.
MC: And that’s what matters, isn’t it! Gathering nutrition.
CM: Among around 20 people I was the only one that ate it, though.

MC: Do the two of you go have fun together?
YH: Recently, not only the two of us but together with our staff we had a BBQ party. *he pronunces it bebe kyu*
MC: Ah, barbecue? In Japan?
CM&YH: No, in Korea.
MC: Did you have a tent? *one of the guests told a summer story of how he kissed a girl in a tent*
YH: No no, in a pension, not in a tent, in a pension. *laugh*

Interviewer: And does Tohoshinki have some memories from when you debuted?
YH: We have. Of course, after Tohoshinki’s been formed, we also didn’t know when we would debut. We didn’t know but suddenly we were called by the producer and told “You’ll appear in Boa and Britney Spears’ show in three days”. We were so surprised!
Interviewer: In three days!
CM: So suddenly!
YH: So suddenly. So we really gave our best and, really. The things we had to do in those three days - try to make choreography (etc).
CM: We didn’t have anything.
I: That’s amazing! So you didn’t have anything? This is really amazing!
YH: I think that we became the Tohoshinki that we are now thanks to it.

So, what do Changmin and Yunho do during summer?
CM: The basics, you know? Eat well, sleep well, try some interesting stuff and have fun. I do that all. By the way, I often eat and drink cold stuff, for example reimen (cold noodles in Korean style).
YH: I do the opposite. I exercise more and try to fight the heat with sweat.
CM: Such a man.
YH: *laugh* Thanks!
Interviewer: And do you have some food that you prefer to eat (during summer)?
CM: Well, I eat reimen and recently Yunho has been taking amino supplements, haven’t you?
YH: Yes. Recently I’ve gotten busier, so the fatigue’s been building-up and by taking amino supplements I get rid off it.
Interviewer: Has the fatigue gotten more difficult to get rid off than before?
CM: Well, we’re still young but compared to before we have gotten older, so…
YH: *laugh*
CM: …the endurance is dropping. It’s worrying.
YH: But I think it’s a good thing.

YH: In Changmin’s part… Sosonokasu? (To tempt, to instigate) That’s the pronunciation, isn’t it? What I first heard was not ‘sosonokasu’ but ‘sono tonkatsu’ (‘this tonkatsu’).
When I heard that, I thought ‘Ah, it’s tonkatsu!’.
Tonkatsu is tonkasu in Korea as well. And so I remembered it as ‘sono tonkasu!’ (‘this tonkasu’).
